Help for Agencies | Organizations | Synagogues

Jewish Federation makes grants to agencies, organizations, and synagogues whose non-profit programs and services provide solutions to the pressing needs in Jewish life with an emphasis on helping the most vulnerable members of our Jewish family dealing with health, family, and financial crisis; and connecting Jews of all ages and interests to social and educational experiences they value in the context of Jewish life.

Community Partner Grants

Grants are available to nonprofits and synagogues seeking major funding of $3,000 or more for programs and services addressing individual and communal needs that impact the Jewish community in Monmouth and Greater Middlesex Counties. Jewish Federation’s partnership and grant-making process is designed to invest in programs or projects that meet important needs, leverage resources and generate collaborative partnerships, broaden access and incorporate best practices employed by organizations of excellence.

  • Providing 15 targeted matching grants from Federation, itself, for basic security improvements, such as cameras and surveillance systems, lighting, and keypads, at partners' locations

Federation funds programs and services deployed by partners, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (The JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), helping the most vulnerable members of our extended Jewish family around the world. In addition, we make targeted overseas grants, focusing on Israel-based organizations, to make a more concentrated impact.
